Seedlip Launches Its First Cocktail Recipe Book

Seedlip, Ben Branson’s non-alcoholic distilled spirit company that is changing the way we think about mocktails—and taking the world by storm in the process—has launched its first spiritfree cocktail book. Published by Weldon Owen, Seedlip Cocktails: 100 Delicious Nonalcoholic Recipes from Seedlip & The World’s Best Bars is officially available for sale via Seedlip's website, and will officially land on bookshelves on January 7, 2020.

Since its inception in 2014, Branson and co. have morphed Seedlip into something of a cult phenomenon, bringing their Garden 108, Spice 94 and Grove 42 blends to 38 countries and some 7,500 restaurants, bars and hotels—1,000 of which are in the United States—worldwide. The 192-page book is a culmination of not only Seedlip’s own personal recipes, as well as those coming from notable mixologists from bars including The Aviary (Chicago), Trick Dog and two-MICHELIN-starred Lazy Bear (San Francisco), Employees Only and The Dead Rabbit (New York), Linje Tio (Stockholm), and Artesian and Lyaness (formerly Dandelyan, in London). And that’s just a drop in the bucket.

To commemorate such an occasion, a launch party was held at Rolling Greens Nursery in downtown Los Angeles, where New York-based landscape designer Lily Kwong transformed a piece of the property into a “Seedlip living ecosystem”—aka, a Seedlip General Store pop-up bar serving holiday drinks. Said pop-up, running through December 31, is hosting workshops and classes, like the upcoming Seedlip Master Class led by Laura Lashley, where guests will try their hands at easy-to-make cocktails, and the Sustainable Cocktail Class with Providence's own Kim Stodel. The entire range of Seedlip products, as well as candles, gardenware and terrariums, are also available for sale at the General Store—perfect for those last minute stocking stuffers.

The next launch party is slated for January 16 in New York City. While the location is still too be determined, one thing is for certain: Branson will be on deck to answer all those burning questions.

Cheers!
